You first asked for an amp but are also looking for a digital input. i know of no amps with digital in. Amps simply take a analog line level feed and amplify it to speaker level output. To drive a set (or more speakers) from a squeezebox, 1 only needs an amp. Since volume control can be done using the squeezebox, it acts like a pre-amp. Of course having a squeezebox/amp only set-up will not allow one to play additional sources such as an FM tuner, cd player, etc nor will it allow one to use the digital outputs since it has now DACs. If you only want to play the squeezebox on that system, going with an amp would be fine. If you want to play additional sources now, or in the future, you will need an amp and pre-amp, an integrated amp that combines both the amp and pre-amp, or a receiver that will give you the amp and preamp sections along with a FM turner. Many receivers come with digital processing. I could give you dozens of recommendations for all, but without knowing your budget, it would be fruitless. FWIW, i'm thinking of a squeezebox/amp only set-up in the future. For that I'll more than likely get a used NAD, Rotel, or Parasound 2 channel amp. Parasound makes a nice sounding, and looking, 2 channel baby that will drive most speakers to satisfaction for the implementation I have in mind. And it would work great with in-wall speakers that I think you are talking about.
