Have you tested the network bandwidth between the SB3 and the router? Try the Network Test plugin:
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18149&highlight=network+test+plugin If you cannot sustain 1500 kbps at 100%, you do not have sufficient wireless bandwidth to play FLAC files without dropouts. FLACs are in the ~1000 kbps range, but some can be a bit over, and adding overhead you should at least get 1500 kbps.
