I have just upgraded to an SB3 (very happy with that) and have now got access to Squeezenetwork. The concept looks pretty good and might be the seed of some serious market uniqueness for Slimdevices. The current implementation, though might have have a missed a trick. Essentially, the SB3 is either logged onto Squeezenetwork, or onto my server but never both.

Wouldn't it be better if the box could (optionally?) use Squeezenetwork for some things (such as the clock display and alarms) and stay logged in to my local server? I could use the SB as an alarm, for example, without having to leave my server on or explicitly log between Squeezenetwork and my local server when I want to stream music.

Or perhaps there is some constraint here I don't understand?

Russell.
