Wow, you are correct, I just checked the Benchmark site, and they
claim 8 watts typical, 18 watts max. It isn't quite literally
too hot to touch, but it is warm and close to
too hot to hold. I had a handful of old CPU finned cooler
and scattered them around the top just to add some surface area.

My SlimServer is in a full sized tower case, with fans.
It is almost silent, and too far into the cold dark basement
to worry about :-) It also has a plastic window on the side
and colored fans with LEDs and a cool cathode light
as part of its prior life.
