Do your firewall logs report anything amiss? Not
sure about software players, but the Squeezebox
hardware player is very insistent when it's trying
to get in, as it should be. It tries every 5
seconds until it connects. So your firewall logs
should be filled with hundreds of entries.
Since you can stream with Shoutcast you obviously
have your work IP and home IP addresses correct,
but it doesn't hurt to double-check.
If you're willing to take the risk, unblock IP
addresses. If this works, obviously your work IP
is not what you thought it was or it's not the one
being reported to SlimServer.
SlimServer has full access provisions in your
firewall, correct? Both application and server
status? Note some firewalls (ZoneAlarm, for
example) grant two types of permissions - one for
general access and for server status.
