Yup, it's mainly a front-end for SS, so ideally SS needs to be running. However.. You can view the contents of your library and launch external apps like winamp to play the files.. Indeed, Moose currently uses .NET 1.1, which is much more efficient than the original 1.0.. I'm thinking of moving to .NET 2.0 at some point which should help performance a bit more.. I've not noticed it slowing windows startup down too much, but I tend not to shutdown that often..
