I think you misunderstood me. I am by no means advocating a faster processor. The Mini should be fine. The problem is the combination of the small buffer in the SLiMP3 and the bloat introduced in the newer versions of the slimserver SW that only become evident with that small buffer. I tried running 6.2.1 on my G5 iMac 2Ghz and still had drop outs on my SLiMP3. For what it's worth, I can run 6.02 of the Slimserver SW and it works great. Try rolling back to an earlier version and see if your performance improves. It's a quick test.
