The firmware is contained and dictated by what
version of SlimServer you're running.
It most likely did not have version 29 from the
factory as it's still beta. FW 29 is included
with the nightly 6.2.2 releases.
If you download 6.2.1, the stable release, through
the normal channel, it contains firmware 28 and
will load it on your Squeezebox at the first
opportunity.
So, what version of SlimServer were you running?
Did you change it?
Looks like it got a bit confused going back and
forth. But the good thing is I haven't seen
anyone "brick it" like what's possible with a router.
