So I get that currently, internet radio is lousy quality. But that can be fixed, and presumably will, over time, as interest in it grows. More servers, bigger pipes, the problems to solve are only investments, not serious technological or architectural problems.
Sat. radio sounds like a significantly bigger problem (at least economically). I presume it's going to stay lousy quality forever (or at least long enough that I won't be able to hear the difference by the time they "fix" it). If their main feed is to the satellite, that's their business model. If they don't (and won't) care about the quality of that, are they ever going to care about the quality for a few people getting it over the internet? So why go to the trouble of supplying it on an SB, if a lousy computer speaker and an audio port from your PC would be too high quality for the stream? And pay money for it besides?
