Thanks Dean. Kevin from support has been helping with this. I upgraded to yesterday's nightly inc. firmware 35 and the situation does seem to have improved, though it seems to still be running with a low buffer. The couple of tracks I played played without a skip.
I'll be testing extensively this weekend and will post back my experiences.
