I think the sacrificed goat may be getting me somewhere .. It would seem that the tracks that are not appearing are the ones with no Album specified, can it be that these are being grouped as a compilation, and then not shown in my compilation directory as the name is blank?
Also .. In my earlier ID3v2.4 conversions I managed to somehow set the Compilation tag on some files .. is their an easy way to clear it as Mp3Tag does not seem to show it.
