Yesterday My 300Gb Qnap arrived and once I got back from work I started to play.
I mapped the drive through windows ( something like \\slimserver-01\publicstore ) and pushed all the cds I've currently ripped onto it (about 70) this took about an hour but it was time for dinner so i didnt care. I moved the ethernet cable from my laptop to the SB3 and started to setup, I configured the Squeezebox as a wireless bridge as part of the proceedure and then hit rescan, this took about 5-10 minutes, hopefully incremental updates will be nice and speedy if i do 10 cds or so at a time. It works a charm, I love it I can even access everything through my wireless network including on my pda, and I only have one request for a feature, I'd like to be able to disable all the volume controls and use the RCAs as a fixed level line out.
