For historical reasons, much of my music is in WMA (not lossless). I'm
having a couple of issues with this.

Firstly, replaygain for WMA doesn't seem to be honoured. I've used
foobar2k to add RG tags to everything, and have verified using
DBPowerAMP that the tags replay_{track,album}_{gain,peak} are being
added to WMA files; but these aren't showing up on the track info
display in the SS webiface, and it certainly sounds like RG isn't being
applied during playback. (Most of the WMA files have been normalised - I
know, I know - for my Zen and my car, so they're much louder than the
FLAC/mp3s when RG is enabled.)

Secondly, I can't get fast-forward or rewind to work with WMA files.
The player shows 2x, 4x, etc., but the sound simply halts, the progress
bar doesn't change, pressing play once afterwards does nothing, and
pressing play again simply restarts the track. I have an SB3, so WMA
playback should be native, and so FF/RW should work, surely?

I tried disabling all but WMA (built-in) in Settings / File types, but
that made no difference.

I tried updating to the 3-26 nightly (and firmware 35), but that made
no difference to FF/RW, and introduced new problems (see elsewhere), so
I've gone back to 2005-12-27 (and firmware 28).

I forgot to try RG again before going back; but I couldn't see anything
obvious in the change log that suggested any possible problem with RG
for WMA had been fixed since 12-27.

Has anyone else had these problems? (I've seen some mention of FF/WR,
but not RG.) Has anyone else got either RG or FF/RW with WMA to work?

(I suppose an obvious question is whether I should be using something
other than foobar2k for RG on WMA files?)

PS In case the foregoing may suggest otherwise, I still love my
Squeezebox!
