In addition to kdf's good advice, you should also remove the rpm via the 'rpm -e' command so that the database will be in sync with what's actually going on.

rm -rf /usr/local/slimserver
rm /etc/slimserver.conf
rm /tmp/slimserver.log
rm /etc/sysconfig/slimserver (I think)
rm /etc/init.d/slimserver

at that point, you'd still have the rpm noted in the rpm database, but should have nothing left of slimserver
