I'm curious - I see a lot of people saying that their entire music
library is MP3.
Without unduly hijacking the thread, would anyone care to elaborate on
the reasons why?
- you notice no audible difference?
- compatibility with a portable player?
I'm all MP3 as well, and there it is. I can hear the difference between 128 kbps and 192 kbps, but at 192 or above, it sounds like a CD to me. Blame Operation Ivy, The Dickies, Mojo Nixon... I do :)
My player (iRiver iHP-120) can play Ogg and WMA, but I want to keep cross-platform capability (WMA not good there) and my experience with Ogg radio streaming didn't impress me.
The idea of re-ripping thousands of albums is not acceptable either.
