I'll be contactling Slim Devices early next week. Unless you've exeperienced the noise you can't appreciate it. It's very disconcerting. I now understand why most people just hit the power and don't try to analyze what's going on. I was fotunate in that my wife left the preamp volume low enough to where the full volume noise wasn't dangerous. Normally I keep the preamp volume much higher.
I remember seeing something about reprogramming the Xylinx (sp) chip and was wondering whether I should do that. Guess I'll wait to speak with SD. BTW, the SB3 is now behaving normally.
