I understand the two hops. Earlier with a complete network melt down I got linksys on the phone and they found an IP conflict on my laptop, cleared that and reconfigured the router by assigning a new IP address, enalbling MAC cloning and changing the channel. This got us all back on-line but did not fix the SB3 problem. I feel like this is a DHCP problem that is somehow made easier when the device running slimserver is plugged directly into the router. I have two SB3's in the city and a desktop computer connected directly to a Linksys router (Intel AP's) and it works flawlessly.
