Update: I got a response from Tech support today. They suggested resetting the Xilink which I already did. They also suggested pressing the left arrow for five seconds to bring up the "setup networking" screen. Negative...
I guess I'll have to return the unit for warranty service. Now, I am wondering about this failure... The Squeezebox uses regular computer grade chips just like your average PC or peripheral. Nothing exotic, If I am not mistaken. Therefore, in stands to reason that reliability should be excellent. This is the first time in all my computer years that I have a catastrophic failure on a device. I've never had a total HD failure for instance.. And I've been using PCs since 1989, almost 20 years! Never experienced static electricity damage on a component, motherboard or CPU. Not even a burned out flyback on the old CRT monitors. I guess my excellent track record has been shattered..... -- crooner ------------------------------------------------------------------------ crooner's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3379 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24190 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
