I'll throw out a number for you: 11,500 units sold to date. There are currently 5778 forum members.
Figure most, but not all people registered here own a Squeezebox. Probably quite a few pre-sales types and many people who thought about but never ended up buying one. But then we also have a significant number of people who own multiple Squeezeboxes. Call it a wash: 5778 registered users = 5778 units. Take a WAG and estimate that only about 1/2 of all Squeezebox owners know about or care enough about the forums to have registered.
