Well, in a brick wall it is not that easy to nicely position the squeezebox in a horizontally levelled state. For that you need to have 2 perfectly levelled holes drilled in your brick wall. As you know if you drill in between 2 bricks with cement, the drill wants to center itself...and as a result the squeezebox is not levelled horizontally. The Legrand system takes care for such problems, you can adjust the metal frame (and coverplate ofcourse) on the built in box so that it is perfectly levelled horizontally Secondly, if you would cut out a hole in the brick wall and you do not have a squeezebox yet...you are left with a hole where you can see all the cables comming out.
