thanks for the replies, Mark. I was reading through the wiki info on setting up scripts and so forth...I agree that it's mind boggling what a cheapy router can do when you put on some geekware. amazing.
good advice on the signal boosting...I can't see how I'm going to resist boosting the signal though, even though your advice is well backed up. The wiki repeatedly says you shouldn't boost to the max of 250ish, but also says that the range between 75-125 is about ideal. Considering that linksys sets it at 25...well, I just can't resist boosting that. one question on the comment you made about firewall-- is it deficient to your SMC in ease of configuration, or in actual ability to block incoming attacks?
