After 3 months of using my SB3, I'm fairly happy but I've got the following wish, which I think would improve it's usability a lot.
I'd like to have my squeezebox to always be connected to something, at least so the clock & RSS can always be displayed. Slimserver runs on my laptop and cannot be left to run 24 hours. However, my internet is always connected. Is it possible to have the following funcionality with the SB3:- With no SlimServer (SS) available, the SB3 automatically connects to Squeezenetwork (SN). When a PC with SS becomes available, the SB3 senses it and disconnects from SN connects to SS, as long as SN is in idle/off mode (ie not streaming anything). When that SS is no longer available, it connects to SN again. Without this, I really cannot use it as an alarm clock as I have no guarantee that it will always be connected to a network service. Is there any way to do this now? -- matt24 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ matt24's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5190 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26102 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
