I've periodically had a few problems with this kind of thing. It always
seems to appear when I put a bit of 'stress' on my network, usually via
the Qnap. Things like copying large amounts of data across the network,
notably from and to external drives, or opening and editing large image
files on the Qnap. As others have said, rebooting everything seems to
cure it.
