Kevin: I'm in full agreement, running DD-WRT v23 SP1 on my WRT54G v4.

But just a word of warning for anyone considering this, the current
WRT54Gs are very limited and you generally won't be able to do this
with a new v5 or v6.  You can get a mini build of DD-WRT v23 on these
units though, but it won't have all the features and will be severely
RAM-limited.

Best to stick with the v2-v4 or the "L" if you're planning on doing
this.  They have the full 4 MB ROM/16 MB RAM.
