Best to stick with the v2-v4 or the "L" if you're planning on doing this. They have the full 4 MB ROM/16 MB RAM.
Agreed. The only way to be sure is to get the GL (WRT54GL), since there's no way that I know of to tell if it's version 2-4 on the box.
