I just tried with 6.5 release and it worked fine for me. Basically the first time the plugin starts up when you restart the server it has to fetch all the channels available. To do this, it has to do quite a few web requests, if any of those fail, you have to try again. Hopefully it'll only take a few trys.
In the past it was pretty rare for a web request to fail, but something changed within SlimServers networking a couple months ago that seems to make them fail more often. I've actually updated SuperDateTime to automatically retry a request if it fails. When I have some time I'll look into how difficult it would be to have the Sirius plugin do something similar. In the mean time, just keep trying!
