I've gone ahead and posted a new version of the plugin. It's raining out and I was bored so I updated the http calls to automatically retry if they fail. This should hopefully eliminate the problems people have been having when the plugin retrieves the channel info.
My http calls at home usually work fine so its hard for me to test the new functionality, but it was pretty straight forward to implement so it should work.
