Thanks for the update - I wonder if this is the same issue as I have updated all mine to 2.4 tags. I am thinking there is something funny going on where it does not pick up the tag but with the option set to pick up artist from the directory it does this.
Anyway have downloaded the nightly and will let you know if the issue resurfaces.
