For anyone who may be considering the Toppy, I'll just make the point that the USB connection is very slow. (I think it's described as USB2, but it seems more like USB1 to me). So transferring recordings to a PC takes a long time. I sometimes do it, using my laptop, but it's frankly a bit of a pain. Also, after you've copied them across, although they are in standard MPG format, the files also have a ".REC" wrapper (program info, etc) which a lot of video software doesn't understand. VideoReDo will handle them, though.
