I'm running 6.3.1 on Windows XP Professional. I recently reloaded this machine and noticed that SlimServer was hanging on startup for about a minute when I restart. So this morning, I reloaded the machine again.
So far I've loaded only: - Windows and all pertinent updates from Microsoft (including IE7) - Drivers for the ESC motherboard - Microsoft OneCare (antivirus, antispyware) - EditPlus (programmer's text editor) - The latest ActivePerl - SlimServer 6.3.1 Again, SlimServer is hanging the first time it tries to start. I tried turning off OneCare's antivirus and antispyware, and this had no effect. If I manually stop and start the Slimserver service in the Services control panel, it behaves normally. If I stop and restart SlimServer from the tray icon, it behaves normally. Also I should note that since I installed SlimServer (the most recent thing I installed), OneCare starts much more slowly, too. I'm at a loss.
