The December 2006 issue of "The Perfect Vision" (which is like "The Absolute Sound" for home theater) contains a 1-page mini-review of the Transporter. Most of it is dedicated to the unit's capabilities and setup.
As to sound quality, there's only this: "The sound quality was noticeably better than the Squeezebox with clean, bright midrange and highs, and tight bass response. The overall sound quality was also better than most of the media servers we reviewed recently, which had price tags ranging from $1500 to $5000. If you have a hi-fi system and music encoded in lossless and uncompressed formats, the Transporter is definitely worth checking out." Thumbs up: * Great design and interface * High-quality sound * Easy to set up and manage * Can be used with several NAS devices Thumbs down: * Pricey, if you don't have a hi-fi system * Makes noises that remind you it has tech components inside -- Pale Blue Ego ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pale Blue Ego's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=110 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30198 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
