How many small companies do you know that sell a $300 electronics product and can afford to put repair facilities all over the world? In reality, any electronics under about $1,000 is pretty much disposable these days -- it costs almost as much to repair as it does to buy new. I'm sure you're not happy about your situation, but blaming Slim for (1) a second-hand machine damaged in shipment or by misuse; and (2) international shipping rates just does not make sense to me. It might be cheaper for you to move to California than for Slim to move to Ireland ;-).
