I'm very sorry you had this experience as I was the one who initially
wrote that guide.  That's why I stated to check that everything was
working before going ahead.  Perhaps I'll bold that text.

You did verify that the program was doing what it was supposed to do,
it just happened to crash right at the wrong time.  So I'm not sure
what I could modify in the wiki.

I notice it does get somewhat unstable when it works with thousands of
files at once.  Maybe I should recommend only working with 1000 files
at a time or so?
