Just don't do this, if you don't have the time to subscribe to the developers list. The trunk is currently undergoing huge changes and can be broken any moment. Just stick with 6.5.1 if you want to listen to your music. If you want to use the trunk version, use subversion to keep up to date whenever there's a fix or change.
