Thanks again Diana,
Still no luck here. I have set it to log in on my normal account but to
no avail. And I have tried turning off the firewall and AV. Though that
is no easy feat with McAfee Internet Security (no wonderful button that
switches everything off), and still no luck.
Of note, XP's event log comes up with these related errors:
First this note:
C:\PROGRA~1\SLIMSE~1\server\Bin\MSWIN3~1\mysqld.exe: ready for
connections.
Version: '5.0.22-community-nt' socket: '' port: 9092 MySQL Community
Edition (GPL)
Then:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this
description; see Help and Support for details. The following
information is part of the event: Carp::Clan::__ANON__(): DBI
Connection failed: DBI
connect('hostname=127.0.0.1;port=9092;database=slimserver','slimserver',...)
failed: Lost connection to MySQL server during query at C:\Program
Files\SlimServer\server\CPAN/DBIx/Class/Storage/DBI.pm line 652
then:
C:\PROGRA~1\SLIMSE~1\server\Bin\MSWIN3~1\mysqld.exe: Normal shutdown
then:
C:\PROGRA~1\SLIMSE~1\server\Bin\MSWIN3~1\mysqld.exe: Shutdown complete
