Yes, it does. Optical only, I believe. My big thing about the Apple TV is the TV part. I have to turn the TV on to use it. So, even if it sounded as good as the SB, I wouldn't be happy. I like to turn on my stereo and SB, and just start listening. Now, for watching TV, the Apple TV sounds interesting. Too bad I'm out of inputs to my receiver.
