meltsheep, I don’t like the idea of SlimServer either, and only listen
to internet radio. There’s an online service called Oboe that will
store all your music, and can be accessed from any computer. I
recommended to SlimDevices that they partner with this company, so that
our personal music archives, once uploaded to Oboe, are accessible via
the SqueezeBox, like Pandora, without our PC’s running OR the need for
a NAS. That would be the ultimate.

PaulB: you state: “Now I have a central server for the house running
on a Mini-ITX server running Windows 2003 Server. It also runs
Slimserver.” Is the NAS simply a box that is always turned on
sitting next to your regular PC? How are the various devices hooked
up?
