You are probably changing too much at once.
Lets back up. Is the slimserver running?
You can verify this without using your SqueezeBox. Just
connect to the Web page on your box, and make sure you see a reasonable
response.
You can even have it scan your library and verify that you have most
of your tunes before getting into networking.
If the SlimServer is not running, the Squeezebox won't find it, or its name.
