Greetings Audio Experts;

First, I’d like to say congratulation on one of the finest products
I’ve experienced in a very long time! Thanks to your SqueezeBox my
once daunting, hard to manage music collection is now wonderfully
accessible as well as intelligently portable. Thank you and my
compliment to your technical folks! I can assure you there will be a
dozen more of these boxes sold to my friend alone.

Now may I ask a ‘newbie’ question? Now that all of my 2-ch music is
stored I’ve turned my attention to ‘storing’ my multi-channel
collection to the NAS so I can port these bit streams, via SB, to my
preamp also (S/PDIF). When ‘storing’ my DVD-A’s to disk I’ve managed
to create massively big, 6 channel wav files with these
characteristics: ~500K, 13824kbps/24bit/96KHz/6ch. I would like to ask
for recommendations on how best to format (re-encode/compress) these
files in order to maintain their accuracy while, at the same time,
respecting file-size streaming limitations.
Thanks in advance for indulging me.
