Hi Michael, yes, task manager is what I use to kill these two processes.
However, this isn't a reasonable solution... to kill both processes
after closing softsqueeze every time.  "Forget this player" doesnt
really have any affect on what I'm trying to do.  

I'd like to be clear that I'm just looking for a reasonable way to
automatically get flac.exe and wmadec.exe to exit memory every time I
close softsqueeze.  I tried to make a batch file which would kill those
two processes when I exit the app.  Unfortunately, I couldnt figure out
a way to kill them AFTER the app exits.

I have a hard time believing that there's no option in slimserver to
power off the player after it detects that the player is not in memory
anymore.
