You can do better than use an IR emitter, as the amp has a mini-jack for unmodulated IR commands. So you can use a mini-jack to mini-jack lead from the SB to it - which is tidier and more reliable than using an IR emitter. You can get these anywhere, but Camb Audio include one in a Cat5 cable set for the amp (I'm using the 540A in a multi-room setup). Have you created the lirc config file with remote control commands for the 540A remote yet? If so, I'd love to get a copy to save me creating one from scratch. I've managed to get a file from Cambridge Audio with 540A IR commands in, but I'm not certain how to convert this manually into the lirc format.
