The T-amp is extremely efficient - according to its specs, 88% efficient with an 8-ohm load at 10W output. Plus it's only capable of 10W/ch into a typical 8-ohm load, so that's only 2.4W wasted -at full power-. With no signal the waste is likely in the 10-100 mW range.
