Now that you mention it, I seem to have similar issues. I had assumed it was my remote batteries getting old, but I am quite sure its not that now. I never ever saw anything similar with version 6.1 running even on a puny 1st Gen Linkstation, nor with v 6.5 on my g4 mac mini .... but now i'm on 6.5.1 on windows and that might have something to do with it.... this seems particularly pronounced when i have really long playlists running for several hours. All of a sudden, the remote become unresponsive, including volume, but the music continues unaffected.
