more than adequate documentation on the website for rsnapshot: http://rsnapshot.org/
from the top of the website: "rsnapshot is a filesystem snapshot utility for making backups of local and remote systems. Using rsync and hard links, it is possible to keep multiple, full backups instantly available. The disk space required is just a little more than the space of one full backup, plus incrementals." I use rsnapshot for both home and work use, and it's fantastic. It's mostly for the Unix/Linux/BSD crowd, but I've heard of people using it for Win backups as well. cheers, #!/ben -- bklaas "the Nokia770 skin guy" http://www.last.fm/user/bklaas/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bklaas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22161 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
