Actually I don't think I can even play FLACs here, so I'll need to
transcode anyway.  The advantage of accessing my SS is that I don't
have to set up something that syncs my FLACs with the MP3s and
automatically backs up both to the external HD.  I've probably got the
bandwidth for 320kbps up, or at worse 256.  They won't fit on my iPod
at more than 128, I think.

I think I'll just get a great big external HD and have mp3s at 320 plus
FLACs as backup.

Now if my iPod or my pocket PC could use an external HD, that would be
cool...
