Which is exactly why they have the equivalent of what Microsoft calls
"Hotfixes" for people who find something broken....

Seriously: "we have a new package made every night that has the latest
security/performance/stability fixes" is -far- better than what most
commercial offerings have. I have personally seen someone install a
new Windows XP machine and have it compromised before he could finish
installing SP1 and SP2. I personally found it amusing and typical...
but the fact that supplied-software is constantly out of date is hardly
unique to Slim ... it is the norm these days. Software is "too easy" to
change, so fixes are a continual process. (Or a bunch of "patch
tuesday" releases from Microsoft, periodic "service packs" and "hot
fixes" for the more obscure problems.)

If you expect all software to be bugfree out of the box: stick with
console games: being burned to ROMs or pressed to a CD makes extensive
testing mandatory. (Though that is changing now since "patches" can be
installed online.)

You don't want any of the other 6.5.1 bugs fixed?
