Success!!!!! I installed yesterday's 6.5.2 daily, renamed mplayerrc1.exe to mplayer.exe, installed custom-convert.conf into the same folder as convert.conf, and the issue is solved! M4a's are now playing flawlessly (and the web interface with yesterday's 6.5.2 is performing much better than last weekend's 6.5.2). BPA, I can't thank you enough; I would not be enjoying my music as I am at this moment without your help!
