Where do I check where I am doing the FLAC conversion ? I think it's all being done at the Slim Server end but I could not see a setting in the Slimserver software.
I've tried re-recording an LP and used FLAC Front End to do the WAV to FLAC conversio - same result. It's not "white noise" though - the row was so bad I thought it was at first but I can just about make out some musical content - so it 's just really, really gross distortion. I've checked signal strength and tried different locations - varied from 36% to 74%, not that it made any difference.
