this was 6.3. Lots of known issues, all known to have gone.

6.5 and also stated as solved.

Let's try not to get off track by simply waving flags and shouting "bug
bug".

I'm not sure how you can have duplicates with exactly the same url, as
the database finds previously entered tracks by the url.
However, there are plenty of ways this might not be immediately visible.

Try choosing one small part of your library and set that as the music
folder. turn off the iTunes integration, or musicmagic if you are
using them (good time to just double check none of the importer radio
buttons have gotten checked by accident). Also clear the playlist
folder setting (just to get that out of the way for now)

go into server settings->debugging, select d_import, d_scan, d_info
then go into server settings and initiate a wipe and rescan.

check the log using the link on the debugging page and see if you can
grab a section where it shows the scanning of files.

If this isn't working well for you, open a command prompt and try the
following:

c:\program files\slimserver\server\scanner.exe --wipe <music folder>
--d_import --d_scan --d_info --logfile c:\mylog.txt

you can then zip and attach the mylog.txt file (preferably to a new
thread so we don't continue to obscure the announcement thread)

Failing that, I suggest you contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] so that
they can walk you through things step by step if you need it. They can
get the right details to find out if there is an unreported bug at
work, or a setup complication that didn't translate across the upgrade.
