If you think Logitech can't manufacture a Squeezebox (a new/updated design) and make a profit at $199 you're very mistaken.
The current design and component spec of the SB3 may not allow this type of price change, but an updated design could/would. One need only look to Logitech's Harmony remote line to see this practice in play. $199 is about at the top end for an impulse purchase. $299 is clearly outside that mental barrier. I'd rather make $10 per unit (clear) and sell 20 million units than make $1500 per and sell ten thousand.
